The tube head probably isn’t happening either

Perhaps the graphic on it is 'exclusive' to Prymaxe ? I know Guitar Center used to get a number of 'exclusive' Ibanez guitars, so it could be that you can still get the regular Amptweaker graphics but if you order from Prymaxe, you get the 'skull inside the pick' graphic by default.

I was so looking forward to that. A Tightmetal built-in with an EL34 power section with all the switches is just too good.

Dude shit i know. And it would be a power section actually designed for that preamp. Plus REAL tube resonance and presence.

It’s possible that James’ ideas for the amp head will end up in the amp he builds with EVH. Assuming that’s what happens. Not sure what his function will be there.

I feel the previous pedals looked really professional and well made. These look like a amateur pedal company's first attempts on Reverb.
It looks like they've cheaped out. Standard rectangular enclosures, standard off the shelf knobs, boring cliche'd finishes.
I loved the strange shape of the old one, half angled towards you type thing.

Which of these looks more professional and high end, and which looks like cost cutting?...

Looking at this pic I can only see two jacks - does that mean it's lost the Sidetrack function? It does has a label showing "S/T" but that could just stand for "Show Tiddies"

I mean loking at it again, without the laughable skull and guitar pick logo it would be kinda cool. I like the textured black and the font choice etc.

I think the rest of the jacks are lined up on the back and to be fair the TM-Pro2 was going to have just a basic rectangle enclosure.

It looks like they’re not making the regular TMPRO or TM anymore. You have the Jr and the Pro2 and that’s it. Kinda sad but I guess I get it.

They really just need to fork out the money for a real artist to make some art for these pedals or the very fucking least use the old artwork/fonts. Put some effort into it ya know? The skull in the guitar pick looks like cheap horseshit. Sometimes artwork is literally the driving factor in trying a pedal or at least looking up demos for it. See Walrus audio

I really want one just to have one, but the new one is so fucking ugly, I don’t want that in my desk/office. Having it won’t affect my playing/practice so it’s def not a “need”. Goddamn it looks cheap. Even though I’m sure it sound frickin’ awesome.

Oh yeah I'm sure it sounds awesome. James Brown is the man.

If you really do want different art on it you can always send the enclosure to someone to get it etched/painted/engraved/lasered to give it a whole new aesthetic with whatever art you want. I've never done this sort of thing but, I can't imagine it costing more than like $80 to $100 (which I know is still a lot).

I don’t personally think it looks bad. It looks more purpose built, like this. Utilitarian riff slinging machine type vibe.

I pre ordered a Depthfinder months ago and was told November was when I would get one.

Then I had an email end of October saying it has been discontinued and some nonsense about how something else and new including it is coming?
No idea. I guess this new ownership stuff explains all that. What a shame.

I was only interested when it was James making the stuff. Now its new owners and they are discontuining certain excellent products of his, and making other stuff look shitter, then they wont be getting my business.

Glad I asked for a full refund.

 I don't get the hate for the aesthetics of the new version. I think the newer version looks a lot cleaner and better tbh. Not as busy visually.

Obviously losing features like the LEDs is a huge no-go but I'm not the target audience for this shit anyways

So these are available right now...

Where are all the youtuber guitar influencer videos?
Not a single one? That's really weird.

They're available from zZounds on payment plan.

Anybody volunteer for guinea pig before i do it?

I don’t really remember there being influencer videos for any of the Amptweaker stuff.

That said if you want to hear one of these just go listen to a TMPro video. 95% the same. All the “II” version does is expand on the EQ with a few more tools (Depth Finder, Defizzerator). The core tone is still just a TMPro.

Could actually work if you change those cheesy af red knobs. Just make it look as cold as a Toneczar.
