I posted that I would do a demo of this beast when I did the NGD post, but just now got to do the editing and all that. My intent was to run the same riffs through a bunch of different settings to give a sense of the guitar itself.

Any ideas for what I should do next with it? High-gain? delay/modulation effects?

    Cheers!

Great demo. Would love to hear some high gain samples. The middle pickup into the OR120 sounded awesome!

Hi gain would be cool, and delay/reverb/modulation would be nice to hear as well. Maybe some lead playing?

Would also love some high gain sounds. If that had a single bridge humbucker that'd be my dream EGC, beautiful either way!

Cool man. I have to admit that I never really saw the point in metal necks and fretboards. My father in law has told me some pretty bad horror stories involving playing an alu-necked Kramer at really cold outside gigs in northern Europe. His hand froze onto the neck and he had to rip it off mid gig leaving skin on there. Eeeww.

High gain tones would be interesting to hear. Btw other EGC models also look amazing. The polished and brushed aluminun looks amazing...

looks like high-gain is up next for demoing. Just have to figure out what to play :)

@ Haun - that is definitely a horror story. So far I've only been playing indoor (and quite sweaty) gigs and not had that problem.

I have also not had a tuning stability problem at all through 3 live shows, bringing the guitar from indoors to outdoors to indoors. Letting it sit outside its case for 15 minutes or so before playing has probably helped.

Great demo! I really like the song you're playing, is it your composition?

Thanks! It is - it'll be on my band's new record coming out this summer. We head into the studio in a couple of weeks. I was going to try out all the different amps anyhow and figured I'd do a demo.

hey buddy, allow me ask one silly question : despite the pickup, do you think is it good playing "traditional metal" style , such as thrash metal , death meta

super slow to respond, sorry... newborn tends to eat up the free time :)

@jrui if the guitar is fully cranked and you bring up the treble the guitar tends to have that distinctive 'EGC' sound. You can back the treble and/or tone off and have it sound more traditional. This guitar has the thick EGC neck, which they use on basses and long-scale length guitars. Their normal neck is a super thin neck that plays crazy fast and is probably much better for traditional metal.

@kindsage - thanks! it's portions of a song from my band's new record, due out in November (Snow Burial Band).

I've been waiting to the do the high-gain version of this until I get my new cabs for the Verellen. I should have two Ear Candy Buzz Bombs soon =D.

Great video! An EGC is my most sought after guitar. It is relieving to see someone in this forum into the same stuff as me.
