Looks rad, I know Dustie likes the maple boards but I feel like this would've been a 10/10 with ebony/dyed rosewood and hollow birds to tie in with the body burst, but that's entirely my opinion.

Did I see a neckplate on the back when he showed the wraparound burst?

Ah, so it lost its most appealing feature? The green finish is cool at least. I’d still like to grab one of the original set-necks some day.

The Dustie was never a set neck though. It's always been a bolt on.

The original CU24 one with an ebony board was a set neck.

Ahhhhh I see. Damn almost 10 years ago. I guess I don’t consider that that much of a Dustie model. It’s just a Custom 24 Floyd but has Dusties pickups and satin finish. Obviously it is a Dustie sig but the CE one is the one everybody would think of as it’s more common and a normal production model. The CEs are always built on.

Don't worry, Dustie and even PRS even seemed to forget in the video when he says his first signature model came out in 2018.

The PRS website says:

"There is no limit to the number of DW CE 24 Hardtail guitars that will be made, but the order window is limited to January 10 – December 31, 2023. Contact your Authorized PRS Dealer to place your order."

Wonder if they will produce them all at the same time in 2024, or sporadically as they receive orders.

Well, looks like I'm copping a Dustie sig after all, this finish on the FR model is a definite buy from me

I almost really wanted one until I saw that the body is in that un-grain filled “SG faded series” texture…can’t stand that it feels cheap to me…so I’m gonna pass unless I can get one used in a year or so for 1500

Yknow we've had a core and CE model, but I'm surprised there hasn't been an SE Dustie sig yet.
+1.

The FR/bolt-on/matte finish of the DW would be a nice option to have alongside the Holcomb, assuming they're roughly in the same ballpark. Guessing the FR would put an SE DW at about the price of a 7 string Holcomb.

PRS is on fire with the new colors and models they've announced! The new Holcomb color and Holcomb's new pick ups look awesome as well!
