I know it sounds crazy but i did it just now. With 1356,tuned to Architects.
    Surprisingly not bad!It feels right.
Btw,it's 27.5-25.5 which is the Ormsby 6 string.

The strings don't care how wide the neck is, just how long the scale is.

Well a .52 in C# on a 25.5" is roughly over 15lbs of tension, this feels normal and comparable to what 10's in E Standard feel like.

Your .56 in F# is like 9lbs of tension even at your scale length, that's like using a .32/.34 in E Standard for your E on a 25.5" not even .08 gauge string sets come with low strings that thing. In fact your extra 2" in scale length barely even gets you an extra 1lb of string tension which is hilarious given how much emphasis people put on scale length under 27" for 8 strings.

Do you have any examples of your playing? I want to say even if you're a light picker that's still too flubby to enjoy even by picking lighter. You're going to want to up that string to at least a .66, unless you're doing the whole C# Standard/Drop B/Low Ab/F# range playing the Architects stuff.

I play drop F# on my Kiesel VM7 which is a 27" to 25.5" scale so we are talking about similar scale lengths. I use a 68 on the 7th string with a set of 10-52 and it works perfectly for me. How you can play with a 56 is beyond me...

Actually it's not perfect for me,but playable.I tried Hereafter,it's enough to play that song with 56 F# cuz there is only some 0000 and few low notes on the F# string.Obviously I can't play 56 F# all the time lol
