    Well, I have 2 Schecter Banshees and I bought Archetype Nolly for it's 5150 almost immediately after buying the real 5150. So..... yeah.

    Personally I value variation, since it inspires me to pick up different feeling instruments and feel how they impact what I naturally play. I also have a lot of moods and need my collection to be able to satisfy whatever weird musical craving I'm having. I feel suffocated with only one type of guitar, or even only guitars. There has to be at least one major spec difference (more than just pickups) for me to get another piece of gear. Currently I have:

    * Tele
    * Regius 7 Hardtail
    * Ormsby SX 6 Hardtail
    * Aristides 080s

    That with my Helix, upright bass, harpsichord, and synths allow me to go to entirely different musical planes daily.

    The real trick is taking other people with you.

    And that furthers my point - if I only let myself play metal on an 8 string hardtail, which is honestly my preferred genre, I'd have trouble getting other people to play along!

    I buy a lot of different stuff, but tend to only keep a fairly narrow selection. I like what I like. I also don't learn well from my mistakes. :lol:
