I finally went insane. Was in my workshop and noticed an old 2X4 wood scrap. So what did I do? That's right! I cut it down, put a pickup on and called it a Djent Stick. It actually sounds fairly good, considering I put the pickup on sideways :p . And it's hardwired straight to the jack--no silly volume or tone pots here! Later models will have a single volume, though. Pic in the next post down.
    Thanks, RG

Similar to a vintage LP baseball bat profile. I wanted to keep it as close to that as possible. I have big hands and I love those old huge necks.

Maybe a silly question, but does the pickup function any differently being at a 90 degree angle to standard?

Not really. Only that if you bend up, it gets a bit louder because of the pole pieces

When did he say it was a new idea? Seems like a pretty unnecessary comment.
