There's a Facebook group called Christians against dinosaurs and I laugh every time I read that group name. It just sounds so ridiculous.

My speakers aren't working at the moment so I can't watch.

Heh, i remember when the following album came out, and a buddy was saying how it's the dumbest album title possible.....until I explained to him that people like this exist, and they're clearly mocking them. Blew his ....in mind and it instantly changed from "dumb" to "WOW....INGGENIUS!!!!"

She's a little raggedy but I do believe I'd hit it. Boobs.

As with nearly any religious/conspiracy debate, it boils down to:

A: "But all of this evidence!"
B: "I don't believe any of your evidence! Instead I believe this non-mainstream idea, despite there being no evidence for that."
A: "Okay, believe what you want, I guess, it's no bother to me."
B: "I do believe, but you are wrong and I want to argue with you about how wrong you are!"
A: "Okay, come back when you have some evidence and we'll continue then."
B: "I don't need no steenking evidence! I have my beliefs, and you are wrong!"
    A:

I can't wait for the parody video:

(pours out pile of paper fragments, each with one word on them, along with a roll of tape)

So someone just said, take all these words, and put them in whatever order you want, and then you'll have evidence that your religious book really came from your god!

Isn't that just the stupidest thing?

(holds up clearly labeled Koran, Bhagavad Gita, a scroll with a Buddhist sutra)

And that's why I reject all these books.

    (holds up a Bible)

And why I only accept this book, because it's different.

I don't know how it's different, but it is.

    ----

Malevolent Croation, I can't imagine getting with someone who I wouldn't enjoy exchanging some minimal conversation with.

I am enlightened. I never knew that fossils were always found in lots of tiny pieces and that the evil overlords of dinosaur knowledge told the scared paleontologists what to do or else.

Thank you for your gift of knowledge.

Parodies might be fun, but the original is hilarious in itself. Some things you could let her get away with saying she isn't educated in the subject etc. (which she clearly should be before making any kind of statement), but some... "the first fossil ever found" wtf? Tons of that stuff just lie around, literally, how can you seriously believe that there was a "first" one of these in recent times while at the same time being intelligent enough to form coherent sentences?
Enjoy exchanging some minimal conversation... well as long as I can oppress my hysterical laughter, I sometimes enjoy talking to stupid people. He definitly has a point (two... or lots ofthem. Damn, didn't we all complain about sexism the other day? :D )

I had a teacher in high school that liked to tell us that Dinosaurs didn't exist. I don't think he actually believed it though....

Turns out "Paleontologist" actually means sculptor. Whodathunkit.
