    Hey all!
    After a lot of searching I decided to go with Dennison Guitars for my first ever custom build! He's a relatively new and unknown builder from the UK. I picked him because I liked the look of the few builds he did, the price (2475 pounds) and the relatively quick build time (3-6 months). Maybe a bit of a gamble, but as far as I've gathered, any affordable custom build is a gamble and I don't have the patience to wait a year to get my guitar...

    I went for his 'Artemis' 6 string model with the following specs:
    Black limba 1 piece body
    Stabilised maple burl top
    Blackish binding around body and headstock
    Wenge/bubinga neck with carbon reinforcement
    Matcing headstock cap
    Ebony fretboard, multiscale 25.4 - 26.75, compound radius
    Lundgren Black Heaven set
    1 tone control, push pull, three way switch

    Maybe I'll have him punch a few stylistic F-holes through, but this would have to be a purely aesthetic choice with little to no impact on the sound. It depends on how the stab maple top turns out, if it's too cool to punch holes through I won't do it...

    I added pics for reference of a previous similar model with stab maple top and f-holes. I also added the look of the stab top I asked for. I hope they can manage it!

    nice! I think Dennison is safe in terms of not getting scammed etc, but sure it might not be your all-time fave build etc but you'll see in only a couple months!

    Great choice. We are the exclusive USA and Canadian dealer for Dennison. He'll deliver and Tobias will knock that top out of the park.

    Tobias tops are sick! He makes the resin for my colourful picks :) Dennison seems solid - frequently coming through my store for strings so seems to be churning out the builds! Should be killer

    Cool! Will be following this. Also saw that they do a slightly modified take on a Blackmachine.

    I noticed they're using allen bolts for neck attachment, so I guess that means metal inserts?

    First update: fretboard is ready to go on the neck, he's now waiting for the carbon rods that go in the neck and then he can shape it. Body blank is also on its way! The guys that make the resin top will use buckeye burl instead of maple burl, because their maple batch went bad or something.. should still look cool though! image0.jpeg

    Second update, body is cut, top is on, neck pocket is being cut now... the top did not turn out as I wanted, but still looks cool nonetheless. It needs more sanding for the colours to pop out... it's getting there :) 1617819606207_image0.jpeg

    I’ve briefly tried a couple of Dennison guitars at a UK guitar show a couple of years back and was very impressed. Not 100% my thing, but very definitely a fantastic contemporary guitar. Those tops are fantastic to look at too! I’m looking forward to seeing this guitar when it’s done :)

    Nice looking axe coming along there. I really like that routed edge at the forearm carve. Exaggerates the offset look without actually altering the body shape.

    The ones I tried were more modern metal, and I’m more classic superstrat. Nothing more than that :)

    Right? It seems to fit really well with the rest of the design! I just wanted a different look from my other pointy superstrats :)

    I really like how those pieces almost look like a landscape painting - with the red bit in the middle being a tree.

    hi Very nice work , i ike it mich. may I ask you how you menaged the compound scarf joint for the neck? i mean what method you used to get proper angle? thank you
