Decent mix (guitars too scratchy?)

To me it sounds like the guitars are just too scratchy; I want them to just flow with the bass and kick drum to create a massive wall of chug when the chugs/breakdowns kick in

Guitar: LTD M15 - Dimarzio Evo - LE456- 6505+ IR (150/12500 HPF/LPF)

I like the guitar sound. EQ wise, you could try frequencies around 500-700Hz, and around 1200 - 1700Hz. Just recently I found that there was some of the scratchiness you might be describing in those regions on one of my projects.

400-700 tend to be boxyness, 1200-1700 is the scratchyness (and the djuntz too)
something that is often overlooked but have a huge impact in the ''scratchines'' of the tone is the guitar pick, strings and technique. I've found that atleast I can't play with Ultex pick because of how terrible they sound with my picking technique.
Also, I would try lowering the guitar track just a bit
