I am looking for a cheap delay pedal to mess around with. I have come across a DE-7 and a DD-6 for sale in my area, which one of these pedals would be best?

Having owned both I would go with the De-7. It has one of the best analog sounding delays (echo mode) in it's price range and quite a bit above it's price range. With that said you should go with the DD-6 if you're looking for more delay modes and a looper but the De-7 just wins it for me in terms of sound quality.

Can the Ibanez take the abuse like a Boss?

Just try DDX from digitech it costs something like 88eu and it has 7 simulations. If not then the DD-5 from Boss

Well I was able to pick up a DE-7. If anyone has any good settings for it let me know.
