God damn it! Whatever happened to getting a warrant in this country?
Yeah, because if you have guns or drugs in your house, you're DEFINITELY doing to let the police come in and search it
I wonder what would happen if someone denied these dudes? Would the police use that as probably cause and just barge in anyways? If that's so, it'd be a good time to use that gun...
Here's how that would go down in New Haven, CT:
Cop: Hi sir, we're conducting a door-to-door search as part of our "amnesty" (giggle) on guns and drugs, we can come in, cant' we?
Black guy: Uhhhh, I dunno, man, that SWAT team is mighty scary standing in my yard...
Cop: Thanks for your consent, move out of the way, sir. (Drops baggie) Ooooh, what have we here?
That's pretty much how it would go down here in Riverside, CA.
While this is stupid and it won't work, at least it's a little thought out.
It's for parents and relatives who believe their sons or daughters or what have you are in illegal possession of firearms and drugs, but they don't want to have their children arrested.
"Sir, would you mind signing this amnesty form that means absolutely nothing?
its about time cops in this country start to do THEIR own fucking jobs instead of being lazy worthless pigs that focus on traffic tickets to suppliment their budgets or in this case, basically ask the public to do their job for them.
Wow, that's a great idea.
i honestly think that if ppl cant own guns in a certain area, neither can police. if ppl dont have guns, why should police?back to using claymores!
ha ha ya man, or they'd shoot him first then worry about if he has a gun,
The Scottish broadsword, or the block of epoxy encased ball bearings slapped in front of a slab of C4?
Because the legality of owning a gun has no bearing on whether or not some people choose to possess guns.
I, personally, would be up for trying this idea on a trial basis, and holding a public inquiry afterwards to determine its effectiveness.
my freind was interviewed about how cops treated skaters in our town and it got published in our local newspaper, and i quote "its scary to know that at any second, a cop could jump out of the bushes, shoot me, and then plant drugs on me!"
I'm sorry but this is America, public opinion does not influence government.
