Don't know if you'd willing to do that, but it'd be interesting to know if it would help. To me the neck dive is a huge issue - basically a no-go item.
It definitely improves it. It’s the same reason Tony Iommi had the strap button in that spot on his SGs

I’m not big on putting holes in new guitars when it’s not in a recessed cavity.

I’ve contemplated just going with an even wider strap like a 4” or wider hahaha.

I'd like to mention that the skb 63 series case for explorer/firebirds does not fit Ironbirds even though the dimensions line up, one would have to alter a small portion of foam leaving the guitar exposed to potential damage.

Going with a buddies recommendation and getting a thomann xtreme case.

Doesn’t BC Rich sell a form fitting hard case?

Yeah and when they actually had cases for a minute they sold out, and people were like "ARE THERE ANY GUITARS COMING TO FIT INTO THEM?"
all their stock of cases went to people who already owned them, which left everyone else wanting.

I would've paid an extra $1-200 on my new mk2 just to get a fitted hard/soft case with it. The Thomann case is due in next week for me. based on what i saw with my friends ironbird and the case it will definitely fit but is lacking any sort of structure to keep it from sliding around too much. I may look into just making my own form fitted insert for the case if possible.

@Damon67 shared pictures of a pretty badass form fitting flight case for a custom shop Stealth earlier in this thread

Thomann Xtreme case - ironbird fits. There’s a little pillow it comes with that I used to snug up the long upper wing. Overall a decent to and from case for transporting to practice and local gigs.

Anyone who’s planning on playing shows out of town - I recommend something custom for the road.

Still very happy w my new bc rich.

Update for anyone interested they keep dropping more black/white birds for purchase.

I'm holding out for a 7 string I like. Either a Jr V or if that Rutan signature is ever released as an import.

I really wish they'd start making Speed and Jr. Vs with the Beast headstock. And the REAL Beast headstock..not the SOB or that weird alternate shit they were doing.
Fuck if they bring Speed V back, I want it with the inverted ASM headstock, Kerry King style (well, before he put every other headstock under the fucking sun on them instead)

If they bring the Beast headstock back, I want it on a Beast. Maybe do a tribute to that hideous, yet badass, Brian Hoffman signature?

I’d buy the fuck out of this thing https://reverb.com/item/13015422-1998-b-c-rich-usa-evil-red-beast-brian-hoffman-prototype-model

Oh and they need to bring back the Virgin, with Beast headstock as it's the only headstock appropriate.

so do people actually pay up for the eric rutan models or is this like audio cables "12,000" msrp and then trade for 10% of face?
