I have an opportunity to get a Crate Blue Voodoo 60 for $250 locally. I have one question: can it do the br00ts like the GX-130c?:hbang:

I'd probably pass and save for something else. My buddy has the 120w version and its pretty fizzy and noisy. You could probably find a used JSX for a little more and it will absolutely floor the BV

It's probably a decent enough amp, especially for $250 but I wouldn't expect brutal metal tones.

The BV150 and BV300 heads can do it, I think Cannibal Corpse used those amps on Gallery of Suicide.

$250? Too much for the 60w version.

sounds reasonable to me but then i'm used to uk prices. why not put in a cheeky offer of $190 and go from there. he may go for it.

In all honesty, I've always thought that the crate blue voodoo's were just all hype. I've heard them live, and even my old B52 AT100 blew them out of the water, which can be had typically for just $300. So Id say sit this one out, save up some more money, and wait around for a better deal :2c:
