I came across this website that had knockoff basses. I wonder if anyone here has ever heard of this company? Bass Guitars - DSG Music

    They have several 7-string basses

Personally I'm super interested in the 5 string rickenbacker

Eh, I'd hope that they put more effort into their product than they do photoshopping-out the logos on the photos they use on their site.

Ugh. Yet another firewood distributer. Welp, a fool and his Moby are soon parted, and it looks like there are enough fools to keep them going.

You'll most likely never see it if you ever ordered it, even if they tried building it and sending it.

EDIT: I said that without clicking the link... Oh my GOD it looks terrible.

If you're intent on a micro-budget instrument, I might suggest going with Rondo Music. From everything I've read, Kurt seems pretty cool to deal with. For basses, you can look into SX, Douglas, or Brice.

Also, it should be noted that used Ibanez, Yamaha, etc. often have low resale values on the used markets. Great for a buyer.

    It's a trap!

No, seriously...I wouldn't trust them any farther than I could throw an elephant.

I've heard good things about Rondo's Agile guitars. I can't see why it would be any different for their basses. That being said, I'd get a Squier before I'd get an SX considering they're roughly equal in price.
