If you dont know, you dont need it.
Buy the damn guitar.
If you don't know, you don't need it.
Get a Solar guitar and a Zoom G3x or whatever multieffect they are selling now. Those are really good for just $200.
IIRC spillover works fine within an Axe FX patch and now with their implementation of channels, one patch can be pretty full featured. To me that makes #2 a relative non-issue.
As for #1, the Axe FX is also an audio interface, but I'm not sure how reamping works in this context. What does the Boss do that the Axe doesn't?
The AX8 couldnt work as an audio interface, I assumed their new FX3 was similarly crippled.
The boss has more features, more blocks, more routing, more switching, and most people think the modeling is similar quality. I personally think it would be hard to choose the FX3 unless the modeling speaks to you more than the boss.
If you had delay and reverb set on Patch 1 for example, and you switch to Patch 2, your delay and reverb from Patch 1 will not be cut off and continue.
Does that make sense?
more doing. That's the power of the Home Depot.
Don't get me wrong, but buy nothing at all.
If you don't know what to buy, you might end up buying something you don't want or need and miss out on stuff you do want/need.
For my personal experience, impulse buying was always wrong afterwards. If I were you, I'd go for the Solar since you already started a thread about it before. The Helix is gonna stay a while and since it is popular it is likely you will find one used in the coming years. Or maybe even a better alternative.
my solar guitar budget money is ready, just waiting for the shipment to arrive
