So I finally got this done. Maybe I tweak some spots that I'm not satisfied with but otherwise it's finished. It's the same song I posted a while ago but I decided to make a whole new thread for this 'cause I'm kinda stoked with this one! ...and of course there's about four minutes more of this shi...stuff.
I'll post some setting later. Some of you guys had asked for them. Sorry for the delay.

It's called Kingdom of the Sun.

    Hope you enjoy! :D

How did this not get any replies yet?

    Very nice song!
Mix is awesome as well, great job.

    Bass is nice and fat.
Drums are nice too although I think the closed hihat hits are too loud.

Only thing I don't like is the slight wooliness of the distorted guitars and that they're too loud.
Edit: On some of the palm mutes about 2/3 into the song, the bass is kinda overbearing giving it a sort of clipping sound.

But still, awesome sound you got there.

Lots of dynamics here man. Would like to hear this song with vocals. Awesome job!

I dug it a lot man. Really spacious and mildly depressing  but that's the point! To make someone feel something!

Whoa nice bass dawg. And you SD2.0 sounds surprisingly good. It's really rare to hear someone getting sounds as good as you do.

And lecto sounds awesome in this.

Nothing to complain really. Liking the ambience feel on the song so far.

Awesome song but the mix is a bit muddy , also turn down the distorted guitars a little and try to make them crisper.
You're going in the right direction , keep it up bro.

Wooliness? Ok. I'll check it out put I doubt that I'll eq those guitars any further. I'll adjust the volumes a bit more.

    Thanks for the pointers!

Thanks! Yeah I tried to add more dynamics than usual. Vocals would be killer, but right now my mic is busted and I don't have proper vocalist or space to do vocals so it's no go.

Thank you! Yep, that's the thing with music...or should be anyway.

Thanks Ruins. I'm happy I can help!

    Haha. Thank you!

Thanks! I'm glad you liked it. :D And today it's indeed:

Yeah, I check those guitar volumes. Maybe I'll try adjusting the rhythm and lead guitar levels so it would sound a bit clearer. Thanks for pointers!

This sounds awesome man! What did you do in your chain as far as compression, eq, lecto settings, etc.? And what order of everything did you do it in? I've been using the new MAC version of Lecto recently and I can't seem to get a good sound out of it... there's always these strange ghost notes between 2khz-4khz I can't get rid of. Anywho, more details would be appreciated! Thanks!

I really dig this, as always. I can't really comment much on the mix since I have only listened to it on shit laptop computer speakers, but I really enjoyed the song.

    Here you go:

First I place StudioDevil's bass amp on Trillian's effect channel in FL 9, after this I send it another effect channel so those work as parallel tracks and form the bass track. Main track gives you the beef and "sendtrack" gives nice grind. EQ,s come allways last. I used Trillians bass called "Modern 4string". Hope this helps.

    Here:

Rhythm guitars are quad tracked (panning: 100/100, 80/80) All tracks got very similar eq as you see in the pic attached. No compression whatsoever.

Vocals would be great, but at the moment I don't got vocalist or working microphone.

    Thank you!

I posted the settings on the post above. That's actually all I did for the tracks. Of course there is a lot of layering and lead guitars so it's one thing that make it sound as it is. But you should be able to get decent tone quite easily from Lecto. Those ghost note-thingies indicate that you have somekinda problem on your software/hardware or you are making something wrong. :/

    Thanks!

    haha! That's great!

Thanks dude! Yeah, laptop speaker are quite crappy and no one should listen music through those IMO.
