Hey guys, thought i'd post what i've been up to recently musically. Been a while since i uploaded any new music so i thought now would be the time to do so.

Pretty much working on my bands album and its coming together quite nicely but had a few problems recently as our bassist just quit (today actually) so we have to now look for a new bassist as well as finish the album. Oh well, his loss i guess.

Anyway the song is "Insurrection"

I think myspace pretty much destroyed the quality of it though :noway:

Let me know what you think,
cheers!

I loved that. Especially that solo, very tasteful. Wicked tone too. Makes me want a VH100 again

I'm not into the vocals at all, but I've watched a bunch of your videos on youtube, and you are a phenomenal player, dude. There's some really nice phrasing in your solos...

Don´t bother man..
Unless you have a meshuggah/fear factory-sound-like band, nobody really cares around here
Jokes aside, I really dig your guitar tone, and as it has already been mentioned, great and tasteful solo ;)
I have to say I´m not too much into this kind of voice unfortunately.

Personally I think Origins has a pretty valid point as for the track I like it but imo the riff at the start needs a lil something to spice it up it reminds me of Lamb Of God though which to me is a good thing.
I really like the vocals too as it makes a good change to hear someone actually singing instead of howling and screaming like Jamey Jasta after a vindaloo.

Cheers Steve :)

That wasnt the VH100R you were hearing though unfortunately, it was a Pod XT Pro with impulses as at the time of the recording my amp was being repaired :ugh: but it sounds pretty good still i think even though its not a real amp.

Each to their own i guess about vocals. Cheers though!

Indeed, glad we found Gemma as she's an amazing singer, she sounds a lot better than the recordings live as well. I'm pretty much sick of screaming/growling nowadays but then again i've been through death metal/black metal phases and just ended up getting tired of a lot of it.

You kid but actually this isn't far from the truth!!! This song rockss, I to am not overly keen on the vocals, serious skills but not my cuppa! Song could do with a modulation or two imo. Mix and tone are both sweet!

I agree that its probably the truth as well, oh well i tried though. Cheers, yea i agree everyone has different tastes in vocals though.

I originally thought about doing a modulation section but in the end i just liked it how it was. Cheers about the mix as well, recently moved my gear and stuff and finding it hard to mix due to having to get used to the sound again.
