I have a cheap Tanglewood S type guitar with a basswood body that has an amazing candy apple red paint for the price. I'm not fond of this color, but this body has a nice paint job, with lots of sparkle.
And I hate the neck of that guitar (maple with rosewood fretboard, vintage frets and radius...), so I want to use the body for a little project (my first one).

Has anyone a clue where to buy a maple neck/maple fretboard within Europe for not to much money.
For like 289€ I can buy a new Fender Player parts neck from Thomann or other sites, even with a reverse headstock, but I want something cheaper...

Thanks!

Edit: reorganized the text for better understanding.

Check on Reverb friend. I know there there was a shop in Sweden that made some nice looking necks. They have both finished and unfinished too. Only drawback is that they only offer jumbo frets if my memory serves me right, which was a dealbreaker for yours truly.
I think they go for around €80-€120.
There are also some cheap Chinesium necks floating around (can't remember what brand they were) for around €60.
Then you also have https://guitarpartscenter.eu/en_US/c/NECKS/148. They're shaped weirdly and no guarantees on quality but they are cheap.
You could also buy some Harley Benton from Thomann and just salvage it for parts. They have a lot of guitars for under €100.

Just remember too double check the scale length and amount of frets on any neck before you buy it. That being said there really is no way of making sure the neck will fit in the pocket or that the screw holes will align, but I've had luck in the past.
Best of luck!

For my project I bought Harley Benton ST62 with roasted maple neck (139€). It is amazing, I have few guitars (Tele, Jazzmaster, Strat) with these necks and I like them a lot. Then I sold tremolo, body and pickups, in total of 90€. Can't beat that price.

Dang. That is a solid price if I ever heard one.
And a beautiful guitar too! Where did you get the body?do you know if a Harley Benton neck will fit an original Fender neck pocket?

The body I got on Ebay, and neck fit perfectly to the pocket.

Hell, the price went up 20€ in just two months, crazy. By the way, I could not catch the body color properly, in reality it looks nicer, less sparkly.

That's perfect man! To be honest 80 eurobux ain't too bad for a finished body. Especially if you've got a nice paint job, and €60 is a steal. I like making my own bodies but the finish is the hardest part. Real hard to make it look professional as a home gamer with little skill and equipment.

I bought an $80 (75€) strat neck from ebay and for $8 (7.50€) more, they added white block inlays, binding and a glossy finish. Took about 3 weeks to get to me, but it was a great deal.

Wow!

That it is almost what I have in mind!

I'm thinking in only a humbucker at the bridge, volume control. But it is almost the same guitar that I want to build.

Thanks everyone for the replies!

Thanks!

This will be a project for some time as I will be buying the parts with ease and keeping the costs to minimun... And maybe I will do a full build instead with the basswood candy apple red body, as I want a H or H/H black hardtail S guitar...

Don't know yet.
Online virtual guitar builders are bad for decisions!

But when the build is finish, I will post the journey and the results.

@Mister Shreddingaton

Check out Waaah on AliExpress. I built a partscaster with a body and roasted maple neck from their shop that came out great. Good CNC workmanship and neck pocket fit, good paintjob, amazing semi-hemi fret ends. Came out a little on the heavy side (Alder body), still OK though.
