Call me crazy but I think I like the sheffield better. More midrange chunk. I'm listening on my phone though.
Yeah, I think I'm still in the learning curve with the V30, just installed it 2 days ago. I had the sheffield for about 6 months so I already have an eq I'm confortable with. I'm thinking of a 2x12 with both of them though.
Good comparison. I like both. I think I am probably in the V30 camp, but it's a familiar sound to me. The Sheffield feels tighter and drier. Maybe that's more upper mids and less lower mids? It feels more modern to me, and not just because the other has "vintage" in it's name
The sheffield sounded better to me, but the V30 might need some time to break in. They sounded good together too.
