Orange is rated 16 Ohms @ 240 watts. Running the carvin in bridged mode, should I be running it in 1 channel mode instead?

    Is this safe?

You can use the amplifier, you just need to be somewhat mindful, and listen for sounds of speaker stress at high volumes.

What are some signs of speaker stress?

Popping, knocking sounds indicate over excursion. Other than that you should listen for abnormal distortion,...mechanical noise created by the speaker, not by your electronics. Weird oscillations, flapping, buzzing, rattles, etc..

This should only be an issue at high volumes. At normal volume, your speakers will be receiving a much lower wattage from the amp. Just keep the level reasonable.

Some things that cause voice coils to overhear faster are extended bits of feedback, square wave clipping, and heaps of low frequency.

Using just one channel may be more prudent if you want to play it safer.
