It’s not bad, per se, but it’s super formulaic. Feel like they’ve written this song 20 times. Also, that “black metal” part sounds way too polished.

I have seen them live, and they want to play this "we are so evil" persona on stage. Dude, we are all grown adults. Nobody wants to see you pretend you are bad and mean. Just get up on stage and play your music. If your music is good it will stand for itself.
This stuff is just so boring to me. I agree with Mike H, the riffs are so formulaic. And boring. Write some cool riffs Carnifex. Stop pretending you are satanic and mean and evil, and strt making good music instead.

To be fair, there are still bands like Cradle of Filth and Behemoth who act like that in a much more extravagant fashion. I get what you mean, though.

Every band needs a gimmick. I think they are fantastic live. I like this song as it hits all the right spots in my musical palet. To each their own though.

And as far as the symphonic stuff, I can hear how it would be a bit annoying to some.

Sick and heavy evil satanic symphonic core! :D I've always liked this band, they have recently strived into more blackened direction and sounding little less deathcore. There is nothing wrong with having that kind of stage persona when you play extreme metal.

It's a little cookie-cutter for me, and the production is too modern for the black metal styling of the music IMO. Still, I'd rather hear this than deathcore. The imagery is what it is; I actually prefer listening to most artists without watching a video; I'd rather they just leave the album art up there.

Despite the track being underwhelming, I am super stoked to see Jordan getting an LACS Xiphos 7. That’s a pretty solid indication that they’re bringing the shape back into their current lineup, with some noticeable changes to the bevels, notably the bottom horn.

That was an in-stock built for Muhammed from Necrophagist.

The LACS offers all Ibanez shapes past and present and doesn't indicate what may come to, or back to, production.

All I can hope is that people show enough of an interest in a 7 string Xiphos for Ibanez to test a production model out.
