Do we know that that's actually what's going on?
I came in here to ask if it was a pitch shifter pedal

Yeah. Also IIRC, Greg (the guitarist) programs the pedal changes in via MIDI which is incredibly time consuming considering they don't record to a click track so getting the signals lined up takes forever.

Does it blow anyone else's mind that they don't record to a click track but are able to double track (at least) guitar with such tightness?
Talk about being in synch with your band!

Where does this information that they don't record to click track come from?

It's mentioned in the pod cast and I believe they did this for previous albums. They wanted it to sound more realistic between the tempo changes than have it quantized and perfect to a click track.

    I'm on my 3rd listen I think now :)
For me, 100% this is album of the year or maybe the last couple.

It balances beautifully, and doesn't tip too into mindless wank that you can't feel the groove, they always somehow get it RIGHT.
I should have a few listens of the Mesh album but this has struck me quickly as being brilliant.

I'm glad Frank did a guest bit of vocals, I really think they should get one in the future with Mike Patton too, he'd lap this up !

Black Blood is so good, that last triplet and that clipping harmonic @ 0:36 before the verse riff makes me want to throw people

I'd never heard of these guys before last night. My buddy sent me a link and I swallowed the album whole...these guys are nuts.

Turns out they're in atlanta tomorrow night, and I will be going to see them too!

    EDIT!

Saw these dudes in atlanta tonight. Bear in mind I just saw meshuggah for the 3rd time 2 weeks ago, so the bar is still set pretty high.

On that note, Car Bomb put on a killer show; their music is still new to me so I didn't know all the grooves, but what I did know was brutal and awesome.

I met the bass player at the merch table as well. He was really cool and friendly. Told him I just found out about the band, he wondered what took me so ....ing long hahaha.

    haha, great stuff !
It was a huge, huge pity when the UK got to see them supporting Meshuggah a while back - ONLY because the frigging sound guy didn't turn them up, nor give them a decent sound :(

Also recently been listening to Neck :shred:  :

    song Three Crosses :hbang:

(Mike and Greg were from this band, Jon and Elliot from another band Spooge)

    Yep.

Saw Car Bomb live here last Saturday with Dillinger. It was crazy to see them perform live. Probably one of my favorite live performances.

The guys were wicked tight, and only Elliot was running in-ears. The way some of their grooves translate live just makes you want to get in the pit and start throwing people. I have no idea how they perfectly remember and execute some of their more mathy/technical riffs.

2016 was pretty underwhelming for me in general for music but this album came out of no where and blew me away. The clicking on Constant Sleep is the most unique sounding thing I have heard in years.
