I love you guys all so much for showing me these guys, never heard of them until I read through this thread.
    The new album is ridiculous.

The juxtaposition of the heavy sections with their melodic bits make the softer stuff more beautiful than anything that's purely melody. The Oppresor is incredible.

    Yes! It's so mad.

They practice facing the wall so they can't look at each other. I find that fascinating but also incredibly realistic.

Yeah up until then I'd been thinking they must constantly watch each other for cues.

I haven't gotten around to listening to the new Ulcerate yet, but unless that blows me away, Meta is for sure my album of the year.

I wouldn't leave out the possibility, there are some moments in Shrines of Paralysis, it's like EiF + Sunbather

Half of the time I'm listening to this new album I'm mostly trying to comprehend what the hell is happening. This is dense. New Ulcerate and Whore's is killer as well. But all different beasts.

The guitar player has a unique way of using a Whammy, it's making me want one now.

I was curious to read again a thread posted sometime ago, which asked about how he played a certain guitar sound from the previous wave album....I tried to google it, but haven't found it.

Anyway, the new album is absurdly amazing! I need to check out their previous stuff closely, but at the moment I can't stop listen to Meta.
