The sponges look way nicer in that video than the pics I've seen so far.
That amethyst finish is calling my name.
Always had a thing for those clock inlays. I need to get my hands on a Caparison one day.
Honestly I was one of the guys who posted that, but today I tried some more Capas and with the help of @narad I kinda appreciated them better, still wouldn't buy one for what they go for here in Japan. My favorite was the TAT special if I remember correctly. But 400,000¥+ ? No thanks.
The one I liked the least was actually the JSM, then the MJR, then the CC Horus and finally the TAT which was nice.
Yeah, those TAT Specials are something else, but they're about 15% more here than in Japan.
That's more than I paid for either of my custom Suhrs.
When they were CL14s, they were in the $3.2-3.5k USD range, which feels about right for one with really choice woods.
I also agree with @RiksRiks about the ordering -- the TAT special was the only one to feel notably "quality", and the TAT or the horus sounded the best IMO. I guess they both had the newer Caparison PH-bc pickup instead of the PH-R, which is definitely just a throw-away pickup IMO.
