What do you mean by black out the fretboard? Maple is my favorite!
Anything but maple is unacceptable, IMO. It’s THE look for these guitars, especially the 565. Wish they’d re-issue those in LB, RFR or DY, the teal and Orange they’re available in now are cool, but if I could get a better version of the LB 465 I already own, I’d be verrrrry happy.

It's a half measure super strat if it doesn't have a maple board. Sure, its still, basically a super strat, but without the maple board, it's just barely.

They all look pretty cool. The ESP is the most like a Super Strat. The Charvel is more like what I call an S2. ie. Strat like guitar that is more of a v2.0
