    Seeing this has reminded me I must take that Trace Elliot 1x15 bass cab out of the boot of my car and try it with my rig. 2x12 Marshall and 1x15 Trace should give my 7 string's a hell of a kick, especially the one I've tuned to F#.

    So Shannon, have you got a head to use these with yet?

    You know what im really wanting to try out?

    The Genz Benz GBE 750 bass amp. There is a sound clip on youtube of the GBE 1200 and I love it. The sound clips don't really show any thump, but I still think it sounded damn nice :agreed:

    I used to have a Gallien Kruger 4x12 guitar cab. That fuk'r had 4 100 watt celestions and with a ( Then new ) Peavey VTM120 head ,,,it would make you pant legs shake because it moved so much air! GK's stuff is nice, rugged as hell.

    Nope.

    No head yet, but I may get one. This weekend will be reserved for experimentation. I have these options.
    1) Run my Bass POD (bean shaped one) through a poweramp.
    2) Run my PODxt Live with the Bass Expansion pack through a poweramp.
    3) Just buy a bass head....the G-K 700RB-II or 1001RB-II looks like great options. I use these heads to try out the cabs & it sounded awesome!


    ....I'll let you know what I decide to do.

    Yep, those look awesome, but they are a bit out of my price range.

    Aluminum cones.

    That would kickass with a POD XT, especially since in essence its like a mini pa system....

    You're giving me ideas now.....

    Yep, I am using my PODxt Live with it. I'm just using the Jazz Clean mod with a 1x15 cab mod. Sounds awesome! Oh yeah, with a BBE. ;)

    Yeah, I tried some of it. I think the amp was called the Tour 700. Not bad, but I was more impressed with the GK heads.

    Nice. I love Gk. I just scored a used 112 Back line for 200. They make the best amps.
