Not that much has changed - except that I am piecing them together.
My colleague Graham has always done the woodwork from day 1 with the B6 model.

I stepped in to offer a hand to Doug (my best friend of the last 25 years) to resolve some of the hold-ups that were resulting in few if any B6s getting completed and into the hands of players.
Doug is still involved and so far has done the final set-up and adjustments on those being completed.
This way we are hoping to make 2 or more B6s available each month.
How we split the work varies from batch to batch (Doug is currently mad busy getting B2s ready for the Frankfurt Music show, so I am currently busy oil finishing the 4 B6s we have going through.)

Doug and I work in similar ways and are pretty evenly matched skills-wise and the feel of what we make is near identical, although I am typically better known for more conventional /classic styled guitars like these LP types with all access necks.

However the B6s that have been jointly built are already shipping out and very nice they are too.
Doug is trying to honour pre-existing requests where possible, and place them with players who will get the best out of them, but obviously not everyone who has requested having one in the past is still in the market for one or financially in a position to pull the trigger on one as they become available.

The idea is trying not to get too far ahead of ourselves in taking payment as it can lead to frustrations of long lead times when money has been handed over , so we are trying to produce them in batches of 4 for players who are ready to put the money down and hopefully wait no longer than 8 weeks for completion and delivery. It has meant that some players haver passed on the option simply because money hasn't been available at the time - so there is still a chance to get yourself in line for one.

Here are the last 2 that went out last month....

Let's put all questions, speculations, etc. Right here. Then we can keep it out of the classifieds. :hbang:

Why 2 strap buttons on the bottom?

One's an input jack, I believe.

    edit: I stand corrected.

Just an option - like a Tom Anderson. My old B6 had the one strap button and that was indeed the input jack as well, but there's no reason to have more than one if you don't prefer it.

The double straplock button and flush jack was something that came as a request from a number of players that preferred to have a guitar of this value safely held on with straplocks.
We include the attachments for the strap as well with the guitar.

Also means the guitar is easier to stand up without a strap on and is less likely to fall over (although we always recommend a stand or case )

If a player specifically wanted the combined input /button arrangement - then happy to do that too.

It would be soooo much easier if we could order the B6's from you and not from Doug.

Thanks for all the information and the pics, dude!

Thanks for the thumbs up .
It is Doug's business - I am giving a big helping hand
I will however do what I can working with Doug to make the process a bit easier. It is early days yet.
I think he and I both agree to keep the spec of the B6 stable and kind of fixed to keep the process for that a bit simpler and allow the B2s and suchlike to have more custom options.

Remember the time I spend on this is ON TOP of all I have to do with the Feline brand.

Having said that we intended our collaboration to give a shot in the arm to both our brands - getting more B6s to players and raising awareness and appreciation of the work we do at Feline. So a win-win for everybody.

Have you guys discussed making a 7-string version of the B6? As to your own guitars, a 7 also seems like the thing to offer further to separate the guitars you build under the Feline brand and the guitars you build under the blackmachine brand (besides the nice price incentive!).

afaik he didn't make it. But I am not sure. I certainly looked around for him, and asked at Diezel.
Vik said he heard he wasn't there
