That is a nice Koa top!

AFAIK it's only a year or two old at most. He took on some headless and B2 builds, a few were completed and sent out from NGD's I've seen.

They are just NGD posts on Facebook but I’ll post pics when I’m finished I’m on my desktop next. He’s putting out around 2-5 guitars a year recently, at the current prices that’s probably enough for him.

Ok thanks Lorcan, I would appreciate some pics...
What are the current prices for a B2 straight from Doug?

Following your posts, I can only imagine how that mail looked like. No wonder he didn't reply...

I had one, he never answered emails at all. Important things like the woods promised for my build being stolen out of his shed, I found out secondhand. When I finally played a blackmachine, I sold my deposit off right after. I don't think the guy I sold it to ever got his guitar.

Prices for new BMs are higher than used BMs, so well over $10k now. I only wish I got the guitar because I would have profited so much on resale.

If you want a BM, get a copy from a guy who can actually run a business and handle the basics of customer service.

Last I spoke with him (relatively recent), they were being sold auction-style, starting at 10k GBP.
He doesn't seem to be as excited about building the B2s anymore however; he seems really amped up on this headless kick. Cool to see him building again though.

Haha no, I am not on the BM bandwagon. I enjoy production guitars like EBMM, ESP, or maybe an Aristides these days.

I can't believe anybody is actually paying that for that headless design... guess the power of hype is truly limitless.

I should clarify that figure was for a B2- I didn't ask about the headless since headless is not my jam. Those may be different.

Got curious the other day and searched for #blackmachine on Instagram. Scrolled down and there were some photos of the B6+1 that has been discussed on here.

Thanks Lorcan, do you have more details on the B6+1? Can they be preordered or something?

25.5” scale. Swamp ash body, maple neck and rosewood fretboard, 6100 nickel frets, hipshot bridge and I presume blackbird 7s.

If you’re really interested I can try get you one but I’m not sure if they are all spoken for. Guessing they cost over £2200 judging from older prices.

Thanks but I already have an 070R incoming, so hopefully I am done with 7s for some time now... ;)

First I've heard of this, did I miss something? Any public reason on why?
Damn, now B6 prices are going to go up again.

If he isn't building them anymore, there won't be any new ones.
Assuming of course Doug doesn't take it up or have someone else do it, but that'd surprise me. Not that this doesn't, but still
