    It sure is

definitely committed to downsizing my collection recently and these were the ones I wanted to get. Down from over 20 to 8 “main guitars” in the past year.

    thanks!

Allan Holdsworth, too, for the same reason.

A side effect, I've heard people say that using the lower button helps hold the guitar tighter to their body, rather than tilting forward, if there's a "gut" involved. And while I have said gut, it' not something i've been able to test.

On the headless, it makes a little more sense, because you can't have the strap button there in the way, so by adding two, you have two options in case one doesn't work for you.

I don't know anybody that uses the bottom one for a strap, but in sure someone does. It's totally for stability.

I have an older B6 and it only has one strap button on the bottom.

I bought an Oil City Pickups "Blackbird" which is what they are putting in the Feline B6 models, if I'm not mistaken. I put it in the bridge position of my Prestige Ibanez RG and holy crap. It beat the BKP nailbomb that I had in there for output and tone. I'm sure it screams in your B6 as well. Happy NGD!

Has it been long enough since the beginning of the BM hype that we can say this is a classic NGD? HNGD man.

It's been 10 years since Nolly's NGD so I think it's safe to say yes

Do I qualify for my SSO veterans discount now?

That's an awesome looking guitar, man. I love the stripped down look, very business-like and professional.

Definitely very stripped down but very straightforward for getting the job done. :agreed:

Something about the proportions and overall silhouette of the BM body + headstock just works, ya know? Even in this market of BM clones still being popular, none nail what makes a BM a BM 100%. The Skervesen Raptor + Viper headstock is close, but not 100%.

    HNGD!

Going back to the OP... Good guitar, but as good as some of the guitars currenyly in production?

I've never played a Blackmachine, but going by your post, I'm not sure I's want to pay a premium to get something out of production that I could order from Mayones, for example.

What's your view, OP? I have a couple of Mayones that I think are awesome as well.

    Is that a recent build?

A few years ago Doug offered a few spots for custom BMs. I wonder what happened to them...

I actually don't have information as to when this one was built, but it's obviously not an older one. I don't have reason to believe it's brand new either.

I think it's about on par with my Regius as far as playability goes, so in that regard you could definitely get a product faster and for less from one of the "major brands" i.e Mayones, EBMM, Suhr, Etc.. but it's still a damn good guitar and I'm happy to have it.

I'll definitely post my thoughts on how it stacks up to the Skervesen once it's done, looking like that should be here around the holidays.
