    So...what to say

It's a Blackmachine, we've all seen them. We've all heard the stories and the praise and seen the hype they've commanded for the last 10 years. I remember seeing Nolly's initial B6 NGD in 2009 while I was still lurking and being infatuated with it. That never really stopped. Obviously every and their mother now is doing a BM clone or was doing one at some point. Hell, I'm having Skervesen build me a Raptor that is almost identical to this thing as I never thought I'd be able to get a BM to actually try out  (side note: comparing the two once that build is done is #1 on my list) So for this to become available to me this week in a trade I had to do what I needed to do in order to get my hands on it.

So what everyone is really here for. How is it? It's wonderful. It's exactly what I'd like a "high end" guitar to be but it's still obviously very barebones and "basic" I guess. The neck is great, it weighs nothing, the fretwork is amazing, the pickups are great and the fit and finish is top notch. The Hannes is insanely comfortable and I'm very glad I picked it for my Skervesen build as well as I had never even played one before today.

Is it the best guitar I've ever played? No. Is it the best guitar I even own? Probably also no. I'd say it's very close between my CS Regius, Monarchy Majesty and this. Now that's not a list of some trash guitars so take with that what you will. Each one has their merits. This will definitely be a recording workhorse and I think that's where it is truly going to shine. May have to make a thread comparing it to my other guitars though. (PRS Holcomb USA, EBMM Majesty, JPXI, Regius, USA Juggernaut, JBM100)

Overall though, I'm so happy that I finally have gotten a chance to own this and I fully intend to hold on to it for a very long time.

Feline builds a nice guitar :yesway: I've been tempted to order one of these several times but never taken the plunge.

Glad you're liking it, always liked the aesthetic of these :yesway:

Nice score man! Always great to land something that you've been after for a while. What do you think of the ASL Blackbird pickups? I really like them. Have them ordered for an upcoming build.

Oh yeah, guess I should have mentioned it is Feline built. But I guess the black backplate gives that away. The build quality is very nice though yes! I tried and tried and tried to get myself on the wait list but I never got a response from Jonathan despite probably 15 attempts over the last few years so I kinda gave up, which is how the Skervesen order came to be (and I just really wanted a Raptor anyway)

So far I love them, they've got a lot of clarity! I may still swap them out for BKPs, thinking camo ragnaroks but time shall tell on that.

Wow that's weird. Glad you were able to grab one. Was just looking and I see they're doing guitars with the same specs now but in a generic superstrat format.

Tom Anderson also does this, with the intent of making the guitar more stable to prop up against something.
