Finally did it. Ordered a vintage stagger with baseplate for the bridge in my strat to replace a fender pure vintage 65. Should've done it years ago. I can throw all my other guitars away now. My strat can officially do anything. Nice cleans and almost cleans on the neck and middle. Balls out fucking metal in the bridge. I'm in love. Now I want more Strats. A nice blonde 50s strat would be the perfect sleeper to start belting out SYL riffs at unsuspecting blues dads.

did I tell you or someone else before that the sinner is the best pickup?

    maybe it was someone else.

Man I put a bridge sinner in the middle to pair with humbuckers. It's so good.

I like it better than humbuckers. It's really nice and tight. Perfect for metal. I was riffing away on old Metallica and Iced Earth and it was amazing. Tuned down for some SYL riffs. Freaking awesome. They need a version for a Telecaster as well. I could see getting a 52 tele reissue and 54 strat reissue loaded with sinners. Dress up in nice matching 50s suits and ties with Buddy Holly glasses and skinny leather straps with the shoulder pad. Then unload some melodic blackened death metal.

So far the only con is you completely lose the strat sound. This is one reason (other than the really high price) why I only put one in the bridge position. I wanted to keep the neck and middle sounding stratty.

There are a couple of different companies that have a solution for this but not as hot as the sinner. DAllen makes the Echoes bridge and Irongear makes the Smokestack set. These are basically two pickups in one. Like a stacked coil but each is selectable as a separate pickup. One coil vintage output and one at a hotter output. The DAllen and Irongear hot modes are around 12k though so nowhere near the Sinner.

I asked bkp about making something similar based on the sinner but they said no.
