So, i have a fender fat strat and i want to get a BKP to put in the bridge position so i can use it in my metal band (tecnhical death metal/ Drop C) and dont know which one to get, so which BKP would sound best in alder? Im looking for lots of note definition and big aggressive tone. Clean tones should also be usable. Ive been looking at the warpig and the nailbomb.

any other models i should look at or do you think the warpig is best for this guitar out of their whole range? Also is the warpig capable of clean tones?

If you had not mentioned the type of music you will be playing I would have said holy diver or crawler. With that said I think the ceramic warpig will be awesome. I'm putting a set in my swamp ash koa top strat build.

Will the holy diver or crawler do that type of music well? I just don't want it to be too bright due to the alder body.

Holy diver is a great pickup but is only going to sounds as brutal as your setup is. It's a perfect match for that guitar . With that said its not ceramic. The warpig would be as good it's just going to me more brutal and tight! Being bright would be your last worry with that pickup. A miracle man it aftermath would be an example if being too bright.

The Dimarzio Super 3 has a similar EQ curve, high output and a ceramic magnet. It'll sound different that a C-pig, but will also give you a big, warm, mid-heavy sound. I read another thread on here about someone replacing a humbucker in their fat strat and went with the Super 3, IIRC, so that may be worth looking for

depends. Some people wont put a price on what sound they are going for. I have always been blown away by bkp. I have owned dimarzio, suhr, seymour duncan, emg. I have always made my way back to bkp.
