I was wondering about the Electro-Harmonix Big Muff. What the difference from the US to the Russian ones, and are they good for playing fast solos? I looking at this and the Boss MT-2, which one would be better?

Get a LordOVchaos modded MT-2, I've heard good things.

The Big Muff is great for what it is: a fuzz pedal. It's great as an effect when you're going for an effect, but as your main distortion: no.

i use it with a fred bridge into a marshall.
gives me a mix of deftones and tool.
i set the marshall to just enough gain to be gritty, and turn the drive volume and sustain all the way up.
not great for tight solos at all. perfect for waaay too saturated doubledup powerchords

id say go with a metalzone.
look into getting lordovchaos to mod it. ive only heard great things about hsi work

I HATE FUZZ! That's why I'd never touch one. My EST teacher always talked about how lame they are, can't remember everything he said but I remember he said they're a total rip for how simple the circuitry is, but he's referring to the old ones.

Just what I know. I post weird stuff when I'm tired, I should go to bed, gnight!
