No suggestions here, but I just checked which After The Burial song is on the playlist.

    You have chosen wisely.

Its played on a 9 but this is still my favourite use of an extended range guitar:

    Meshuggah - Combustion.

The opening riff is the first thing i learned when i got my 8 string and i still have to play it every time i pick it up.

2nd for BFG division and the rest of the DOOM soundtrack.

"Glints Collide" gets me fucking amped every time. And probably "Clockwork" by Ever Forthright.

Hacktivist: Elevate. The EP version. I love that intro and works even better as a chorus.

Also, Meshuggah: Closed Eye Visuals. It's kind of unfair to even mention Meshuggah here, but when it gets to the verse, it's just so damn groovy. I can't help but move to the groove whenever I play along to this song.

I don't know if this counts because I think he plays it on a 7 tuned down to F, but eh close enough. Vola has a lot of cool riffs.

I've been through the thread and listened to a few intros and the Doom one is the only one that made my kid get up from his drawing and come and see what was going on, which I'm sure is proof of something.

Not 8 string but 7 tuned to F# or something silly like that. :agreed: Kinda rare to hear something non-djenty in that tuning :D
