I'm looking for recommendations of bands who's guitars sound super wide and heavy, similar to Diamond Eyes by Deftones and TL/TD by Sworn In

I actually find guitar production on The Apostasy to be very limited to certain frequencies with a narrow stereo width. :(

"Super wide and heavy"?

Almost anything mixed by Will Putney (minus a few crappy albums in recent years). Anything mixed by any of the Nail the Mix crew (Joey Sturgis, Eyal Levi, Joel Wanasek.) Anything mixed by Andy Sneap.

I've found the new Headspace is pretty ballsy in the tones department. Also KSE, Within The Ruins, Alter Bridge (ok not metal but yeah), Sevendust to name a few

Not the greatest production, but these guys sound heavy heavy heavy

Another album I've been jamming a lot lately is Blueprints by Wage War. Maybe a little "polished" for some, but still pretty massive guitars. The new Architects song sounds pretty huge as well.

heavy and wide? Cult of Luna, The Ocean and Deafheaven come to mind. killer tones with a lot of saturation. maybe not the most distorted sound but super thick and wide sounding. great panorama sound as well.

Will Putney is the MF man! My band is hoping to work with him in the future actually :)
