What gear was used to record the album? Really like the percussions in the recording and how it sits in the mix, and would love to know what gear was used by Chris at the time - amps/cab/speaker wise.

I searched the forum but did not come up with anything.

    Thanks!

I can't remember where or when I saw it but I'm fairly sure that during the ATD album the guitars where sent through ENGL amps. Not sure which ones either. I could be wrong though but that sounds super familiar.

Also, thanks for posting that Big, I didn't realize he started posting again and figured he had went into hiding:lol: Makes me super happy to see him posting again. I'm a HUGE CS fan so that made my night.

Very interested too. I'm not usually keen on much deathcore, but this album is incredible IMO

Chris hates being asked questions from his All Shall Perish days.. You might not get an answer. Just sayin..
But I know he borrowed the black Dean at the time he was recording with from Rusty, I believe he mentioned to me once he borrowed amps from him too, I don't remember if they were engl or maybe diezel i thought.. Unless he got into Diezels after ATD dropped.

Saw them live a while back, and he was rocking a Framus setup then. Dunno if he recorded with it, but that's what he was playing through.

I am almost sure it was a Rocktron Prophesy II, I either read it from a reliable source or heard it from him. But I remembered always wanting to save for one instead of an Axe-Fx, becuase of that album.

Well, I just decided to follow up on what I had said earlier, turns out I was right. They're Rocktrons page.

Rocktron Artist - All Shall Perish

No one loves that album more than me, it was in Kirk Hammets top 25 albums of the decade.

I dont think that Francesco uses it though, I've seen him in front of an Axe-Fx

And if Kirk Hammett likes it, it must be good

Pretty sure it was a Rocktron Prophesy preamp into a VHT Two/Ninety/Two and a Mesa Recto cab. Very similar to, if not the same as, what Rusty was using at the time.

There is an ASP DVD called 'tales from the road' and it has studio footage from when ATD was recorded. I'll check it again when i'm home from work.
