Long shot in the dark but I was wondering if someone who lives in the Montreal(Canada) area has an EBMM JP 7 string version as I would like to try one to see if I love the neck/tone etc to figure out if I need to start saving my pennies for one of those.

    Thanks!

Not to be rude, but maybe try to find one in stock at a shop? Shouldn't be hard in the Montreal area.

That said, no harm in asking.

Call your nearest EBMM dealer and see if they have one. Check any store that carries used inventory to see if they have one.

I actually have been able to try out a 6 string JP6 last night because I don't think any store in montreal have any.

Question aside, why did you think your comment could be rude? It wasn't rude at all.

None of the Steve's have any. Although, the West Island location had a Sterling jp70 last time I was there.

I know Archambault recently started carrying EBMM guitars so maybe give them a call and see if they have one in stock.

+1 on that...I live in houston and no guitar store here had any in stock when I was shopping so I said to hell with it and ordered a JP6 without ever playing an ernie ball period and it was the best guitar purchase I've made. Since then ive purchased a Majesty 7 and a JPXI, couldn't be happier with all 3 of them.

Something about the 12th fret area of the Majesty 7 just shook me up. It felt paper thin to me, and I can't say it was a good thing.

What type of guitars do you like? I've owned a JP7 for a while so i could give you my opinion compared to other guitars. Personally i didn't like the neck shape at all, it's pretty thin but the neck shoulder made my thumb hurt after a while, similar to non prestige RG's. About the same thickness as a RGD2127z, but the shape is more rounded and nicer on the RGD imo.

As far as 7 string goes, I have only owned/tried a UV777PBK (sold) and an RG1527(only guitar I have right now). I really love the Ibanez RG/Jem Prestige necks.

Royal Blue, rosewood fretboard, edge pro bridge. I bought it used and it came with CrunchLab7/Liquifire7. I have no idea how the stock pickups sound like though.

Remster, i use to live in montreal (2012/2013) and i remember seeing Ebmm Jp's at the music store in Jean Talon, maybe they have some (Italmelodie)

Funny thing, as you say you have a 1527, I bought one there and put a liquifire in it (and a tonezone) ! (Unfortunately, i sold it one year later)
