Or the other highgain tube preamps in this series? The tubes run high at 270v-300v or whatever so i really wonder that they sound like. Fotor_157705747192413.jpg

Damn, didn't realize these existed. They're so funny-looking. I must buy them all.

    Someone finally did it.

They came up with a way to link pedals so that you don't have to tap dance. It appears that if you have multiples of these linked, you can turn on one which turns off the others.

If the pedal sounds good, you could build a multi-channel preamp with a row of these bricks. Very cool idea.

I have been eyeing the AMT Vt-Lead for a few weeks. There's not much info on them but they look great.

I would be curious to hear these A/B'd alongside the non-tube versions.

No, this is simpler. It looks like whenever you turn one pedal on, it sends an "off" signal to everything else in the chain.

So you would have to tapdance to leave something else on.

I'd still go MIDI or multi if you want that kind of functionality.

    Or just use switchable loops.

Though it is neat to have relay switching built in. I'm sure folks will map out what it can and can't do. AMT's "manual" is rubbish.

Except that with preamp pedals, you would only want one on at a time.

And if you wanted two on, you don't have to link them.

The point is, this is a clever and inexpensive way to offer channel switching. Putting midi in every $100 pedal isn't feasible.

Since you're the resident gear tryer-outer, get it and tell us.

I hope they do a LA2 version, even if the clean channel is JFET like the LA2 series.
