Promo for the new self-titled album has started. While I'm stoked for the album, the first song released is really.... poppy (for st. vincent)

I was hoping she would go in a different direction. She released a single last year for record store day that was really doom/sludgy.

This track isn't bad but I definitely liked the older stuff better. I'll probably still check the new album out anyway, there are bound to be a few tracks I like more.

I like that 1st song; as for the 2nd one, that's when her music gets a bit weird to me sometimes.

I love her first two albums. I wasn't a fan of her Record Day singles or this latest one. I like the more laid back, simple yet surprisingly complex arrangements she used to write. Her guitar playing isn't too bad either.

I love her music, so much. Marrow being her best song, with Your Lips Are Red a close second. Crazy good guitarist, saw her live a couple years back and she was amazing.

Oh yes, her guitar playing style and tone is quite "unique".

Cute and talented, can't get any better than that :agreed:
