I have been on the lookout for a new V for some time and it just so happens that Jackson is soon releasing the KV7 in 'Winterstorm', I think it looks great. The specs are ok.... any thoughts? Anyone own the black version that can comment on build quality?

Corey is a great player, if I had the money to throw away I'd grab one but that's not the case.

I don't know about current Jackson Quality but it's like every brand, good ones and bad ones.

I had the RR24XT-7 (TOM bridge, made in indo). Was a fantastic modding platform for the price. I think what will kill this though is the combination of the spec sheet and artist tax. Any word on price?

I'm personally pretty excited. One of my local Canadian dealers reports that it should be available in April so I'm excited to try it out. For a long time now I've been thinking on and off about a 7-string Mahogany V, and this just might do the trick. Always wished that Jackson had made a stock USA King V in black with the binding and full sized Pearl shark tooth inlays.

I really dig it. But I don't think a new guitar is in the cards for me right now.

I got to the play the matte black one once in a music go round for a bit and it played very nice. It’d been awhile since I played a 7 but it was nice for what I could do.

    Inlays are too small.
