    Hello again folks!

Don't mean to bog up the forum with another NGD, but this time I just couldn't resist :hbang:

found this baby on craigslist for a mere $100, turns out the guy won it in a youtube mixing competition and doesn't play 7's, and it's in near mint condition, so his loss is my gain!
(technically it would be my 15 year-old brother's gain, it's his x-mas present :yesway:)
It's a 24.75" scale, but after a setup and new strings she handles drop A without any fuss. I don't think he will be downtuning much more anyways.
The feature I enjoy most is the neck, it seems to have a bit of flame to it, and looks/plays very nicely for a guitar that goes for ~$350 new.
I think he'll enjoy it! onto pics!

I've had one of these, and despite all the wrong signs (short scale, Korean made, cheapestest Ibanez I've ever bought, 7-string V pickups), it was quite a monster. The bridge pickup sounded huge actually, the neck was fatter than your usual 7-string Ibby neck but was round and comfy, the non-branded tuners worked OK, it kept tuning like a champ. I could only find two drawbacks: the neck pickup was meh, and the guitar had an awful neck dive. But really, nothing you can't live with.

Congrats to your brother, he's gonna have some great time with it.

The sentiment rocks! Hope he enjoys it as much as you are giving it to him.

forgot to mention it's an IBANEZ AX7221 haha, but I'm sure we all new that already. Now to get my hands on an AX7521.

I believe these were Japanese made when they first came out. I could be wrong. Is this a Korean model? MIJ?

    ^There were two models:
    - AX7221: this one. Korean made.
    - AX7521: MIJ.
Visually, the finish and the non-branded tuners are the only differences.
