Anciients (from Vancouver) has a new album coming out on October 14th, called Voice of the Void. They posted a full album stream today, and it is stellar. Much heavier than the first album (Heart of Oak), this is by far one of the best metal releases of the year.

    Enjoy:

Heart of Oak was AMAZING, if a touch outside my typical tastes. If this is "heavier", there's a good chance I will like it even more.......

It filled the empty gap Opeth/Mastodon have left.

Loved Heart of Oak. I heard the first single they released for this album, and got real stoked. I'll have the stream on all day!

Haven't listened enough to have an opinion of the music yet (great so far, digging the mix of vocal styles, I can see the Opeth/Mastadon references people are mentioning)- but I really like the cover art. I find that the art/image of a band does so much to hook people in the first place. :yesway:
