...I'm actually convinced that Ron Jarzombek would be an awesome second guitarist for Nevermore.

    Anyone agree?

Well if anyone has the chops to keep up with Nevermore's material, Ron certainly has them.

He would not only be a perfect guitarist for Nevermore, he would add a totally new dimension to their songwriting and progressivness! A new Nevermore album with Jarzombek could very well put them back on their throne as my favorite band once again.

Obviously it would be dumb if they just turned into Spastik Ink v:2.0, but the way their soloing styles worked together on that song was just fucking fantastic, and given that Ron's proven he can do the heavy seven-string stuff already, with Blotted Science, I think the two of them would be a perfect songwriting unit.

I remember seeing mention of Jarzombek being interested in joining Nevermore, or Loomis interested in Jarzombek being part of it....you never know what might happen :)

They would probably not become anything like Spastic Ink. But imagine Blotted science/Nevermore + all that great tonality that Jarzombek has. I mean, he did a FANTASTIC job with Gordian Knot when it comes to the more mellow stuff. I couldn't think of anyone else who would fit better! :yesway:

Jeff: "I'll stick to the diminished scale and you can do your whole note thing..."
 They would have everything covered! :D

On a related note, Michael Manaring and Neil Kernon's fretless solos on 'Cashmere Shiv' are also great.:yesway:

There was a thread not too long ago asking everyones opinion on who should be the second guitarist in Nevermore and the general concensus was if it can't be Broderick, it should be Jarzombek. I can't wait for the US release of the Loomis album. I don't want to listen to the leaked stuff.

Oh yes they have one, but it's more about photoshoping Warrel's head onto porn. It's freaking great haha.

Sometimes people tell me "The songwriting's not that imaginative, every song has the same vibe. It's just tech with solos and no feeling or emotion."

    I counter with:
"Are you retarded? Have you heard how FAST it is?"

I am confident my opinion is the best.

Yeah, rumour's been for a while that they want Jarzombek and Jarzombek wants the gig, but nothing's been confirmed. I can't think of a better fit, personally. The other guys so far have either been dwarfed by his chops or too similar in style, but not only can Jarzombek keep up with Loomis but he could really create a dynamic between the guitarists that the band hasn't really seen before. Anything to avoid another fucking diminished solo, anyways:lol:

Ron would be great, an it'd be great for Ron to get some more 'mainstream metal' (compared to Spastic Ink anyway) exposure, and maybe it would help him finance another solo album... :agreed:
