I am fuckin speechless.
Exactly. They also cut the nut slots at angles, so it's not an issue with traditional nuts either:
All I have to say is that the ESPs with the Jackson headstocks were one of my holy grails and I'm in love with the one I have.
The old ESP Jackson lawsuit headstocks are not quite the same as actual Jackson headstocks...they are slightly more straight and less offset.
Correct! Looks outstanding too
I know. With all the headstocks that just slightly change some miniscule detail to get around straight up copying another, I'm really surprised ESP couldn't get away with that one. It's obviously a copy of a Jackson headstock because of the overall shape. It's just not a very good copy because the angles are all different.
Just before the thread momentum is over I want to show my eerie beauty. I don´t have a big bad ass collection but this one quenched my gas. Regards
^The RR is why the Jackson headstock looks awesome. It was made to mirror the shark inlays and the then Concorde silhouette. All these elements in an RR looks just so "put together".
the ESP headstocks only look good reversed, Jackson looks good both ways
the best headstock of course is Kramer hockey stick
You mean the Gibson Explorer?
It's a good thing that I have an ESP RR with an ESP headstock then
This thread makes me so happy. Keep arguing and supporting your arguments with pictures, please. Especially lawsuit ESP breadsticks.
*headstock auto-corrected to breadstick. Fuck yeah.
Jackson is „the perfect” 80s metal headstock. But i also love ESP’s reversed. Another nice headstocks are Vaptor and Viper both reversed, both from Skervesen.
I have no issues with Jackson's headstock, but reverse ESP wins by a country mile.
Also explorer headstock is the titties as is ESP cockstock
The ESP version of the Jackson headstock is just perfection. The shape and most importantly the angle to the fretboard. My all time best
Jackson headstocks are the best headstock made and I prefer them the normal way but ESP headstocks reversed are nice also.
I will say that yeah, ESP's pointy stock in reverse is fucking beautiful. It's why I love both my LTD 7-strings.
This is interesting. I never even realized that the ESP version of the Jackson headstock is slightly different. I always figured I just liked the ESP logo but now when I look at them it's pretty obvious that they're different, and the ESP looks better in the way the angle between neck and headstock is more subtle.
That's pretty lame then that ESP couldn't keep using that headstock.
I really feel the Rhoads is the epitome of a “metal” guitar shape. I got one of minions in the slime green just because
