    We just finished cutting these bodies the other day. Next comes binding and finish. I though you guys might enjoy seeing them. The first is flamed bubinga and the second is quilted mahogany.

    I think that bubinga is going to look outrageous when you get a finish on it!

    Here's a piece of that bubinga that's soaked in acetone. This is about what it should like with a clear nitro finish.

    It just boggles my mind that such beautiful wood exists in nature. The 3D illusion of figured wood is surely one of the most stunning creations in the natural world. Amazing.

    I like the clear finishhes. But I dig when they use clear black to really darken it the best.
