It's for real, but it's a hack job. Read this thread for all the info. I think the seller is a member here.

I still want a Dimebucker 7. If Duncan ever releases one, then I'd happily swap both stock PU's from my 7321, and mate it with a chrome covered 59. :)

+1 Just drop Duncan a line and ask about pricing. They have a custom shop that will give you whatever you want.

The dime 7 custom costs so much because it sits in that retarded vacuum seal tub or whatever.

I thought they didn't do seven string blade-style custom jobs? I could be wrong, but I thought I saw that on their FAQ.

Someone here asked them about that apparently they wanted 400$.

    ...per pickup

I talked to guy from Vintage Vibe Guitars (he had a post in the Pickups Guide), he said he'd be interested in trying to build a REAL blade style 7 String pickup, modelled tonally after the Lawrence, no word on price though.

    He can be reached here.

    Eh... oh well.

I wouldn't be able to afford it anyway for now. I have to get some repairs done to the van I bought recently so it can pass the state emissions inspection. Nothing major, but that means I can't even get anything like a new Dime 7 for now. It's more important that I get this stuff out of the way.

Thanks for finding the post. :)
