5 years after we entered Iraq and we have 4,000 dead. I think it took about 10 months for the insurgent death toll to hit that many. And people still think they are a threat to us.

i saw the cnn report about the death toll hitting 4000, concerning the iraqis, they said the most conservatist estimations are at about 80.000 iraqis dead, most experts that have done a fair estimate have come up with above 100.000, some even say several hundred thousands.

Yeah the numbers vary anywhere from 80,000 to 1.2 million. Not to mention the 2 million displaced Iraqis. :noplease:

That mosaic is cool. When I heard 4000 dead I just sat there thinking why? 4000 young people gave their lives to protect America/the world from a threat that never existed, what a terrible waste.

Yeah, of course you'll never hear about that in the front page news because then everyone will realize that Iraq couldnt possibly, have ever been a threat to us ---whatsoever.

Very true, 4000 families that have lost a son, daughter, brother, sister, dad, whatever. Though, it is war. maybe not a war everyone agree's on, but, joining the army, comes with a risk. And every family has to expect worst case scenario when someone they know involved in a war/conflict.
I don't really like too call whats happening in Iraq right now a war, it has elements off what a war is yes, the whole suicide bombing stuff makes it fucked. Personally, 4000 dead is enough, you can't help a country that really doesn't want to help itself, not to take that the wrong way, i know not everyone is rejecting the help.
Just a big messy situation, lol i ain't even gonna write anymore,i am confusing myself! it was making sense at the beginning haha. *runs*

Plus the 4000 number doesn't include the soldiers that are injured and then die of there injuries.
