I can’t wait to see the technique book. He’s been working on it for so long.

Favorite guitarist ever. I'd love to get his book(s). His playthroughs on youtube are always insane to watch.

I'll have to start actually buying his cds since spotify doesn't have BTWOS.

    The king is back!

Looks like he's doing well, as he is sweeping more than he has in recent years. This song feels more like a Timewarp song than BTWOS too. I'm excited!

As usual, Christian delivers the goods. I watched the Youtube video twice and didn't realize he was wearing a glove on his fretting hand.

So that wasn't fair at all. Good grief.

"Beyond the wall of sleep" book arrived today.
Thoughtfully done with player notes around the riffs, eg D Harmonic Minor.

    +1.

There's a lot of really cool riffs and solos in that book. The long solo in Nightlife (the one that starts at 2:05) and the riffs in The Witch of Endor are amazing.

A simple thing I told Christian about the tab book I'd like is that the name of the song should appear somewhere in the bottom of the pages, I hate opening the book at a random point and not knowing what song it is. I hope he makes it this time, though maybe just my thing

Awesome! I got the C.D. (new album) yesterday but not the tab book, yet. I would think Christian could have saved some money (especially at a time like this) by sending the C.D. and tab book together instead of separately. Really weird but I assume Christian knows what he's doing.

Anyways, Chopeth, have you learned/plan on learning anything from the new tab book? Any insights that caught your attention?

Wow that song demon angel is what Im looking for the new album. Reminds me of my favorites from the two previous. The kind of sad and happy feeling...But you guys seem serious actually trying to attempt and play any of his songs? Speedwise - doable after practice but so much personal phrasing and licks that are his specialty(past issue of the finger).

Well, I've had both really good and bad luck in covering Christian's songs/solos. I don't have too much trouble with his Necrophagist and Obscura songs/solos because I've had many years to practice that material. I do have trouble with some of his solo material, though, like the songs, The Tell-Tale Heart and Timewarp. Some of the phrasings in those songs is really hard to nail down perfectly.

I talked a couple of times with him about it. The german post office services seems to be a little expensive and the sale of merch in his web doesn't allow making bundles, and he probably likes to send his stuff separate not to get anything damaged with contact or whatever, I dunno. I spent 15€ or more in mailing buying the last CD and book separated, I find it a lot but everytime I tell him I finally stop complaining, it looks like I'm bargaining and I don't like it.

I almost didn't have the chance to open the timewrap and I bought it a while ago, it seems to me that I'm more a collector nowadays because I don't play the guitar so much lately, but "thanks" to the confinement I've had a little time to check the few first songs and they are fun to play.
