That won't work on the frets, since the strings will wear it off in no time. I do however use clear nail polish on pickup adjustment screws, and the screws on the pickup rings.

Necro-bump for posterity, since there's a few more options over the last couple years. These are all Kiesel, so all come standard with stainless frets, and EVO frets are available on all of them with the possible exception of the JBYY since it's a signature model, but they may still do it if you call)
