Here is the thread to vote for the four finishers of this year's challenge. The ultimate goal of this challenge was to build the nicest guitar for the least amount of money, gathering as many materials as possible from Home Depot. If you did not see the rules of the challenge visit this thread.

Please take into account the quality and cost of each build before voting. Each vote will count as a single point towards the build, and a percentage of votes will be added back on (depending on which cost bracket the build falls under), to form a final point total. Voting is open from now until 11:59 PM (EST) August 10th. Total scores at that time will be tallied and the winner declared. Votes after this time will not be counted.

    - $50>, 20% of the total votes received will be added back on to the tally. For example, if I get 10 votes, and spend less that $50, I have a point total of 12.
    - $75>, 15% of the total votes received will be added to the tally.
    - $100> 10% of the total votes received will be added to the tally.

The winner of the challenge will win the graciously supplied spalted beech top offered up by sevenstring's own pondman.

    Here are the contestants:

All of them appear excellent in some way, shape, and form, however for sheer build quality I must choose Hywel because of the professional craftsmanship that I see aesthetically.

Your builds are all totally cool and real accomplishments for the price. Hywel's is just on another level.

XxJoshxX all the way. I mean Hywel knocked it out of the park but seriously, multiscale acoustic at half the cost really encapsulates the spirit of the contest.

Well this one wasn't even close!

Congratulations to Hywel and all of the other finishers on building some great guitars. Hopefully we can make this an annual thing and maybe get a bit more participation next year.

Anyways, congrats to Hywel on a job well done. I suggest getting in contact with Al about the prize situation, and make sure to post a thread when you get around to using the amazing pieces he graciously offered up.

Thank you everyone who voted and big thanks to Pondman for the very generous prize! All the entries this year looked amazing and I can't wait to see what people come up with next time.

I had a lot of fun building the baritone floorboard topped semi hollow and it was a great chance to learn a lot of new techniques and try out new things. I promise to put the spalt and ferrets to good use! I've never tried a floyd rose or a V so this seems like the perfect opportunity to give both a go. The usual build thread with all the gory pics will be here as soon as I start. :D

I started on it again the other night. My little boy got hand, foot, and mouth disease, and then I got it from him, which took us out for a few weeks. I don't recommend it  All better now, though!
